The Conti Thermo Protect flexible insulation system has won the Industrial Energy Efficiency Award presented for the first time at Hannover Messe for outstanding industrial energy efficiency processes. The material offers huge potential for savings while also enhancing occupational health and safety.
Trade show organizer Deutsche Messe makes the award in cooperation with independent market research and consultancy company EuPD Research. “We are delighted to receive this award,” said Stefan Füllgraf during the award ceremony at the Digital Energy Forum at Hannover Messe. “It is proof that our products are making a significant contribution to climate protection and resource conservation.”
Huge potential for savings
Just a ten-millimeter-thin layer of Thermo Protect reduces system heat losses by up to 60 percent. The reduced temperature on the outside is also a plus in terms of occupational health and safety.
In its as-delivered state, the product has the consistency of modeling clay and can easily be cut to size, processed and fitted for a precision finish. The material only cures fully with the action of heat, when it becomes a reusable molding with rubber-like properties – especially suitable for complex, labyrinthine, difficult-to-access or flexible components.
