The catchwords here are “full-range provider” as Continental makes full use of its many years of experience in the field of drive components to expand its offer for customers. From now on, timing chains will be an integral part of the Automotive Aftermarket product range. “We are no longer purely a belt supplier,” explains Dennis Roth, project manager responsible for the new range of timing chains. “We are constantly developing further and now offer our customers a complete range of drive components.” In doing this, the technology company is both adapting its range of products and services to current market conditions and offering custom solutions to its customers.
This kind of customer focus is possible with a wide-ranging portfolio. In the field of belt-drive components, the range is now almost complete – Continental has long been known as a specialist in modern drive belts. Therefore, it was logical further step to respond to current market developments and also include timing chains in the range.
There are 43 different timing chain kits in the initial range. This covers the main vehicle applications and all engines susceptible to frequent failure of the timing chain or its components. With the corresponding kits, auto repair shops can rely on a practical complete solution because they contain all of the parts necessary for repairs.
There have been no compromises in terms of quality: The five-year guarantee unique on the market also applies to timing chains and the kits. To simplify installation, instructions videos in the “Watch and Work” series will soon be published.
