Continental special conveyor belts are used in almost every industry as well as for many recreational applications. They take on a range of functions that are not directly related to conveying technology.
- Chain tracks in vehicles
- Elongation-reduced chain tracks with steel or aluminum cleats
- Transport belts for skiers
- Conveyor belts with drive cleats for amphibious vehicles
Drive conveyor belts for reed cutters manufactured by Bengt Eckerblom AB
Where there are reeds, there is also water. For that reason, it was only logical for Bengt Eckerblom AB to design its new reed cutter as a kind of amphibious vehicle. This powerful vehicle weighs 2,200 kilograms and can be hydraulically expanded to a max. width of 3.6 meters. Special conveyor belts are used as drive belts, enabling the cutter to mow down reeds up to four meters in height.
Chain tracks for PistenBullys manufactured by Kaessbohrer Gelaendefahrzeug AG
Chain tracks with steel or aluminum cleats provide the drive needed by “PistenBullies”.
To ensure optimum driving stability, even under maximum loads, the Continental chain tracks exhibit very good dynamic load capacity and constant elongation reliability. A low-temperature-resistant rubber cover, designed for use in high mountain environments, protects the belt from UV radiation and ozone.
